Liberal Democrat challenges Labour: “stop selling off our council homes!”

THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS LAUNCHED THEIR GENERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN THIS WEEK PROMISING TO STOP BREXIT AND CALLING ON LAMBETH LABOUR COUNCIL TO STOP SELLING OFF OUR COUNCIL HOMES.

After their stunning win in the European elections earlier this year, Liberal Democrat candidate Sarah Lewis is serious about winning here at the General Election in December. Sarah plans to build more homes and to give all renters a predictable tenancy at a rent they can afford is popular. Daniel Noruwa, Resident of Westbury Estate and former Labour activist said "When it comes to housing, Sarah says exactly what Labour should be, but isn't." Figures released by Lambeth Peoples Audit suggest that the local council is selling off and demolishing homes without resident ballots. To make matters worse, only nine council homes were built by the Labour council in the past five years.

“Labour have let local people down. We need to stop Brexit and start building council homes again. We must give local people the chance to live, work and play in the area they call home.” Sarah Lewis

Liberal Democrat candidate Sarah Lewis said “Labour have let local people down. We need to stop Brexit and start building council homes again. We must give local people the chance to live, work and play in the area they call home.” Sarah Lewis thinks that we are letting our young people down. She said “we need to protect our young people by getting kids off the streets and giving them new skills, well-being and purpose.” Sarah says that “we can do this by ending school exclusions, legalising cannabis and giving everyone the mental health support that they need.”
