Lambeth 2026 Selections
Your candidates for Stockwell East ward
We are selecting our candidates for key wards in preparation for 2026 elections to Lambeth Council.
This includes selecting candidates for your ward of Stockwell East. Note that the selectorate for each ward is Liberal Democrat members in that ward.
Stockwell East is a two-member ward.
We have accepted one nomination for this selection, whose name and nomination statement follows:
David Whitaker:
"As a Lambeth resident for a decade, and having been fortunate enough to live just outside the ward for over 6 years, I want to give something back to the community, which has given me so much through my local music and running activities. I pledge to represent and fight for residents of the ward and wider borough, following the party’s values of liberty, equality and community. I will use my professional skills as an economist and former civil servant to hold Lambeth Council to account - to improve local housing and services for all - regardless of background, situation and belief."
Members of the Stockwell East ward will receive their ballot to vote in this selection immediately following the online “Meet the Candidates Q&A” on Tuesday 14th January at 7pm. They will have two weeks to cast their vote.
Following the completion of this ballot, unfilled spaces in our key wards will be allocated to approved candidates at the discretion of the 2025 Executive Committee.
