Meet Our Candidate for the Streatham Common & Vale By-Election: Nicholas Davidson

Nick has lived in Streatham for more than 20 years. After a career in both the public and private sectors, he is now a trustee of a charity based in South London and is active in local community theatre.

After being selected as Liberal Democrat candidate for Streatham Common and Vale, Nick said:

“Brexit and the Tories’ disastrous handling of it got me involved in politics again a few years ago. But I’ve also now seen how important it is to elect councillors here in Lambeth who can stand up to our out-of-touch Labour Council. The introduction of the ill-conceived Streatham Wells Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme over the objections of local residents was a good example of what can happen when one party is so dominant on the Council.  Electing more Liberal Democrats on 2nd May will ensure that Labour are held properly to account. It would be a great privilege to serve the people of Streatham Common and Vale as one of your councillors.”
