Labour's Parking Blood Money1.33.01pm UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 11th Jul 2007
Labour's new 'Fairer' parking policy has just dived to a new low when Labour's leeches trained their blood-thirsty attentions to a van parked outside the Town Hall owned by the National Blood Transfusion Service. This latest in a long line of greedy actions by Lambeth's out-of-control parking wardens, hit national headlines and widespread opprobrium. Liberal Democrat Councillor, Julian Heather, who spotted the vampire wardens busily ticketing the van while ignoring the desperate pleas of National Blood Service officials, branded the operation a disgrace, according to a report in The Sun. Cllr Heather added, " These people are helping to save lives, but all parking wardens seem interested in is handing out as many fines as they can." This latest story from Labour's House of Horrors Parking Service follows a young mother whose car was ticketed while she was breast-feeding her infant, a motorist suffering from cancer who stopped briefly while suffering severe leg cramps following treatment at St Thomas' Hospital, and a young couple who had their car removed from outside their home and then crushed while they were away on holiday. Local Lib Dems have also exposed a line in a secret Council report that Labour's so-called 'Fairer' ticketing has met its financial 'target' when Labour falsely announced it had scrapped so-called ticketing 'incentives'. Parking income has also exceed that of the previous twelve months when by rights it should have fallen. And any time now Labour's greedy parking paws will be raking-in up to £1 million in extra revenue for resident parking permit charges. With the steady drip, drip, drip of Labour's parking blood money, one thing is certain. You pay more under Labour
